Ontario is the last province in Canada where cropping is legal but this will no longer be true.

With the passing of new regulations under the PAWS Act, announced on May 25, 2026, ear cropping will officially be banned in Ontario and come into effect on January 1, 2027.

That means cropping will be banned in all of Canada. In light of this, starting in 2027 our puppies will now be sold with natural ears. For those that really want cropped ears, there will be the possibility of getting puppies cropped in the US. We may offer to do this but time will tell as there are no guarantees.

I feared this day coming but it came so unexpectedly. We are very sad to annouce our precious and sweet girl Roo has crossed the rainbow bridge. Roo passed away from gastric torsion and we just weren't able to save her.

Roo was an old soul from the very beggining. She was a lover. Sweet, nuturing and a pure cuddle bum. There was something so purely sweet about her. She just wanted attention and pats all day long. Roo was an amazing pet and she was an absolute fantastic mother as well. I'm so very grateful for Roo as all of the dogs that we currently have in our hone and our program are her descendents. She was an excellent mother and a wonderful producer with many champion offspring to her merit. Roo was one of the sweetest Dobermans you could meet. She would grandmother our litters ever so gently and still played with puppies even in her senior years. She was a beautiful respresentation of this breed. I wish this was a bad dream that I could wake from but such is life. Sleep softly my little Arugula Prugula, Roogy Tuna. I will hug your daughters, sons and grandkids extra tight. It is with a very heavy heart, that we lost our beautiful girl Hunter. She was laid to rest due to peritonititis.

Hunter was my little meatball. Great things come in small packages. She was my little button with big feet. Tiny but mighty and such a pretty girl. She was a little goof who was the most loving and sweetest soul. Hunter loved to cuddle and just wanted to be by your side. It's were she was happiest. She would let you pick her up in your arms and rock her just like a little baby. She was such a well behaved girl. Last year Hunter flew with me to California!! I will always remember that trip and the great bond we shared. She even accompanied me on a road trip to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon!! Hunter hiked alongside me to see some of the sights. I will forever cherish the adventures we shared together. Hunter was my sweet little baby and her absence is greatly being felt. I wish I had more time with her. God always takes the good ones.
